Funeral services for Albert F. Bartel, 79, were conducted in the Lehigh Mennonite Church July 12 with Peter W. Goering and Waldo Kaufman officiating. One brother, John Bartel of Clearwater, and one sister, Anna Bartel of North Newton, survive. Six brothers preceded him in death. For some time Bartel had made his home in Wheatland Homes in Newton and he later was taken to the Kansas Christian Home there, where he was a resident at the time of his death, July 9 at Axtell Christian Hospital. — Correspondent.
