BARBARA ANN BARE

Barbara Ann Bare, daughter of Richard and Pauline (Wittmer) Bare, was born Jan. 11, 1949, at Williamsburg, Iowa. She was taken by death Sept. 12, 1954, at the Ottumwa, Iowa hospital, aged five years, eight months and one day.

She had been recovering satisfactorily from an attack of non-paralytic polio, when she was striken[sic] with bulbar polio, which proved fatal. Her parents, together with her brother Billy, age seven, her twin sister Bonnie, and baby brother, Bobby, age five months, are looking forward to the blessed reunion in glory. She also leaves her paternal grandparents, Mahlan and Anna (Holdeman) Bare, and her maternal grandmother, Effie (Schlatter Wittmer) Sharp.

Many friends and relatives will miss her sunny presence. Her little light shone for Jesus through her sweet patience during her suffering and by her testimony to the nurses and doctors.

Services were held at the Assembly of God church at Farmington, Iowa and at the Crane Funeral Home, Mt. Pleasant, Iowa on Sept. 14. The Rev. Grover Senf, pastor of the Assembly of God Church, was in charge. Interment was made in the Mt. Pleasant cemetery.
