● Isaac Balzer, 82, who farmed in the Whitewater community most of his life, died at Bethesda Hospital in Goessel on Dec. 27. The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon at the Grace Hill Mennonite Church, with Rev. E. J. Miller in charge. Mr. and Mrs. Isaac moved from their home near Whitewater to Newton in July 1968. Survivors include the widow, Emma; three daughters, Mrs. Elmer O. Harms and Mrs. Henry Janzen, both of Newton, and Mrs. Willis Harms of Whitewater; two sons, Arthur of Hillsboro and Raymond of Whitewater; and a brother, Peter of Moundridge.
