(MRS.) ELIZABETH BAERG

(Mrs.) Elizabeth Baerg was born to Isaac and Aganetha (Flaming) Neufeld at Windom, Minnesota, on October 12, 1886. At age 13 she migrated with her parents to Saskatchewan, six miles from Waldheim. She was saved early in her youth, baptized on June 28, 1905 and received into the Brotherfield Mennonite Brethren Church.

On July 19, 1906 she was married to Frank J. Baerg, a school teacher. She was a real homemaker and loved to cook, garden and sew. She also entertained many ministers and friends. She was active in ladies' missionary meetings and efforts and enjoyed folding tracts at the Western Tract Mission. Her favorite Scriptures were Isa. 43: 1 and Isa. 54: 10. She went to be with the Lord on November 26.

She was predeceased by her husband, her parents and siblings, and leaves to mourn her daughters, Mrs. Elsie Harms of Fresno, Calif. and Mrs. J. (Sarah) Braun; her sons: Edwin of Calgary, Samuel of Surrey, B.C., Rueben of Dinuba, Calif., Wilfred of Ottawa, and Arthur of Steinbach, Man.; 20 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren.

The funeral was conducted by Rev. Henry Penner in the Central Mennonite Brethren Church, Saskatoon on November 29.
