Rosella Mary Bachman, daughter of the late Bishop S. G. and Maggie Shetler, was born in Hollsopple, Pa. on May 12, 1895.

On June 18, 1895, she was married to John M. Bachman, who survives at the family home in the Montford, Mont. area. Also surviving is one son, Karl M. Bachman of Kalispell, Mont.; four grandchildren, Rick and Randy Bachman and Mrs. Blake (Judy Kay) Ballard, all of Kalispell,and Mrs. Jack (Judith Dawn) Finley of Gladstone, Ore.; one great-granddaughter, Kelley Jo Finley, also of Gladstone, Ore.; three sisters, Mrs. Harry (Louella) Miller of Goshen, Ind.; Mrs. John (Goldie) Sala of Kalispell, and Mrs. Calvin (Margaret) Kaufman of Johnstown, Pa.; and one brother, Bishop Sanford G. Shetler, Hollsopple, Pa.

Mrs. Bachman grew to womanhood near Johnstown, Pa. She was educated in Pennsylvania schools, graduating from Miller Norman School near Johnstown. At the age of ten years she gave her heart to the Lord during evangelistic services conducted by her father at the Spring Mennonite Church, Springs, Pa., and was baptized with a group of 51 applicants. She was a Sunday school teacher for many years and remained faithful to the Lord until death.

Mrs. Bachman with her family moved to Montana in 1929 and made her home in the Flathead area until her death on Feb. 3 at the age of 70 years. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. D. D. Brenneman and Rev. Paul W. Jones on Monday, Feb. 7, at 2 p.m. at the Waggener & Campbell Chapel. Interment followed at the Glacier Memorial Gardens.
