Kitchener, Ont. &#8212; Mrs. Elizabeth Bachman, 38, wife of Gerhard Bachman of Waterloo, was instantly killed on Thursday morning, Jan. 30, when her automobile was completely demolished in a collision with a truck.

Mrs. Bachman, who teaches in a high school, was on her way to the school when her car apparently skidded out of control on an icy spot on the highway and smashed broadside into an oncoming trailer truck.

Born in Germany, Mrs. Bachman had lived in the Kitchener-Waterloo area for 10 years. She was a former exchange student in America before marrying Gerhard Bachman who also came from Germany. Both were high school teachers. They attended the Rockway Mennonite Church.

She is survived by her husband, three minor children, her mother Mrs. Elizabeth Musselman, and two sisters. She was buried in the Shantz Mennonite church cemetery with Rev. John Snyder officiating.

High School Teacher Killed in Collision On Ontario Highway

Kitchener, Ont. — Mrs. Elizabeth Bachman, 38, wife of Gerhard Bachman of Waterloo, was instantly killed on Thursday morning, Jan. 30, when her automobile was completely demolished in a collision with a truck.

Mrs. Bachman, who teaches in a high school, was on her way to the school when her car apparently skidded out of control on an icy spot on the highway and smashed broadside into an oncoming trailer truck.

Born in Germany, Mrs. Bachman had lived in the Kitchener-Waterloo area for 10 years. She was a former exchange student in America before marrying Gerhard Bachman who also came from Germany. Both were high school teachers. They attended the Rockway Mennonite Church.
