Alvin P. Bachman, 75, of Secor, Ill. was born on April 7, 1895 in Woodford county, Illinois, a son of John and Susan Bertsche Bachman. He married Martha Reihl at meadows, Ill. on Jan. 23, 1918.

He farmed in Woodford County most of his life. He was a member of the Meadows Mennonite Church and the Woodford County Farm Bureau. While living in retirement at Tucson, Ariz. he served as first chairman of the Mennonite Fellowship of that place.

Survivors include his widow; a son, Norman, of South Bend, Ind.; a daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Litwiller of Secor; a brother, Ben Bachman of Deer Creek, Ill.; six grandchildren and a great-grandchild. Three brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.

He died on Oct. 20, 1970, and funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Oct. 23 at the Roanoke Mennonite Church with Rev. Bruno Penner and Rev. Percy Gerig officiating. Burial was made in the church cemetery.

ALVIN P. BACHMAN

Alvin P. Bachman, 75, of Secor, Ill. was born on April 7, 1895 in Woodford county, Illinois, a son of John and Susan Bertsche Bachman. He married Martha Reihl at meadows, Ill. on Jan. 23, 1918.

He farmed in Woodford County most of his life. He was a member of the Meadows Mennonite Church and the Woodford County Farm Bureau. While living in retirement at Tucson, Ariz. he served as first chairman of the Mennonite Fellowship of that place.
