DEATH CLAIMS AGED PASTOR WHO HELPED FOUND CENTRAL CONF.
Chenoa, Ill. — Funeral services were held here Jan. 10 for Rev. Aaron Augspurger, 84, a minister in the Central Conference of Mennonites for many years and one of those who helped found the conference in 1899.
He had served the Anchor Mennonite church at Ludlow for 37 years. In the early years of the conference he served as conference secretary, member of the Foreign Mission Committee, and one of the first members of the Publication Board. He had been blind for a number of years before his death.
The survivors include one daughter, three sons, 13 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
