FATALLY INJURED IN HEAD-ON COLLISION NEAR ELIDA, OHIO
Berne, Ind. — Word was received here that Raymond A. Augsburger, 59, formerly resident of the Berne community, was fatally injured in a head-on collision Feb. 21 while en route to work in Lima, Ohio from his home at Elida. It is believed he suffered an attack of illness, causing his car to go into the opposite lane of traffic.
Funeral services were conducted Feb. 23 at the Salem Mennonite Church near Elida. Rev. Richard Martin, the pastor, officiated and was assisted by Rev. Raymond Kramer of Meadville, Pa.
The widow, the former Velma Good, two daughters, two sons, and his step-mother, Mrs. Anna Augsburger of Berne, are among the survivors.
