• Funeral services for David J. Androes, 63, were held Saturday forenoon at the First Mennonite Church, with Dr. Albert Epp officiating. Mr. Androes died March 14 at Bethel Deaconess Hospital after a long illness. He was a longtime resident here, having been employed at Berry’s Hatchery in Newton for 37 years. He leaves his widow, Lenora of the home; a son, Norman L. of Pretty Prairie; four daughters, Mrs. Charles Wilmore of Sedgwick, Mrs. Rex Williams of Newton, Mrs. John True of Fitzgerald, Ga., and Mrs. Melvin Wedel of Canton; three brothers, Peter of Fresno, Calif., Gus of Nowata, Okla., and Isaac of Newton; seven sisters, Mrs. Helen Buller of Dallas, Ore., Mrs. Katie Heidebrecht and Mrs. Bertha Thiessen of Inman, Mrs. Sarah Bergen of Hillsboro, Mrs. Agnes Thiessen of Meade, Mrs. Mary Buller of Arroyo, Calif., and Mrs. Anna Janzen of Fresno, Calif.; and 22 grandchildren.
