• Walter K. Andres, 48, well-known farmer living southeast of Newton, died unexpectedly Tuesday morning at Bethel Deaconess Hospital. The funeral is to be held at the First Mennonite Church at 2 p.m. Friday, with Rev. Arnold A. Epp officiating. Mr. Andres was a member of the First Church and the Sheep and Wool Assn., and had served on the board of the Norris School District. He leaves his widow, Elda, and children Kathleen, Mary Ann, Elaine Ruth and Richard, all of the home; his mother, Mrs. Minnie Andres of Newton; and a brother Harold of rural Newton.
