Amstutz.- Katherine Amstutz (nee Hilty) was born on the old Hilty homestead near Pandora, Ohio, on the 16th of April, 1848, and died at late home in Pandora, on June 9, 1915 at the age of 67 years, 1 month and 23 days. On the 10th of January, 1867 she was given in marriage to Abraham Amstutz, with whom she lived happily for over 48 years. Eleven children were born to them, eight of whom are still living. Mrs. Amstutz was a member of the Grace Mennonite Church, having been baptized on confession of her faith in April, 1864. She leaves to mourn her loss a deeply bereaved and invalid husband, eight children and 28 grand-children, 6 brothers and 1 sister. Her funeral was held from the Grace Mennonite church, Rev. A. Schumacher, her pastor officiated. Interment took place at the Pleasant Ridge cemetery.
