text of obituary:

Daniel A. Amstutz was born August 4, 1855, in Richland Township, Allen County, Ohio. He departed to be with his Lord Wednesday evening, at 9:30, March 6, 1935, reaching the age of 79 years, 7 months, and 2 days. He was the son of Abraham and Anna (Bucher) Amstutz. Early in youth (at the age of nineteen), upon his confession of faith, he was received by rite of baptism, as a member of the Swiss Mennonite church. At the age of twenty-three, he was united in marriage with Mary Geiger. To this happy union five children were born. In 1912, Mrs. Amstutz preceded her husband in death. Mr. Amstutz then made his home with his children. A sister and one brother also preceded him in death. Father Amstutz leaves to mourn five children, fourteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; also one uncle, Mr. P. B. Amstutz, of Bluffton, Ohio, who has reached the ripe old age of eighty-nine years. The funeral was held at the St. John Mennonite church, in charge of his pastor, Rev. E. E. Toevs.
