Amstutz.— C. B. Amstutz was born in Wayne Co, Ohio, May 20, 1837, and died at his late home in Pandora, Ohio, on Sunday evening, March 1, 1914, at the age of 76 years, 9 months and 11 days. He was married to Catherine Lugibihl in the year 1859 and to this union 14 children were born, 5 of whom have preceded their father in death. He leaves to mourn his death, his wife, 9 children, 25 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Mr. Amstutz was one of the first settlers in this community and through his influence he helped to shape the life of this settlement. Funeral services were held at the Grace Mennonite church on Wednesday morning, March 4, 1914; the pastor officiating.
