BARBARA AMSTUTZ, age 78, died at the Bluffton hospital on June 27, 1941, after a five-week's illness from influenza. She and her brother, Adam, moved to Bluffton two years ago. She was an active member of various organizations and activities of the Ebenezer Church, such as the missionary society, the ladies’ chorus, and having been Sunday School teacher for fifty years. Her friendly hospitality was greatly appreciated by the many guests received into her home during conferences, etc.
Her enjoyment of nature was expressed through her care for, and love of, flowers. She was always sharing of her abundance with her many relatives and friends. She is survived by five brothers, C. D., Adam, Eph., and Dave all of Bluffton, Ohio, and U. S. of Wisner, Nebraska.
Funeral services were conducted by her pastor, Rev. A. C. Schultz, from the Ebenezer Church on June 30.
