text of obituary:
LEAHANNA C. ALLEBACH
Leahanna C. Allebach, 87, widow of the late David K. Allebach of Hatfield, Pa. died Sept. 25 at the Eastern Mennonite Home, Souderton, Pa. The cause of her death was cerebral thrombosis.
She was the daughter of the late Jacob N. and Elizabeth Cassel Clemens, of Mainland, Pa.
She is survived by one foster daughter, Mrs. Melvin Landis of Hatfield, Pa.; nine grandchildren; three brothers, Jacob C. Clemens of Lansdale, John C. Clemens of Sarasota, Florida, and Norman C. Clemens of Souderton, Pa., R. D.; and one sister, Edna C., wife of Clayton Schlosser, Telford, Pa. Rt. 2.
She was a member of the Plain [sic Plains] Mennonite church, Lansdale. She was a lover of song and deeply appreciated the visits of those who would join with her in singing and exalting her blessed Lord in word and in song. One of her favorite songs was “Draw me Nearer.” She was “given to hospitality.” We have many blessed memories of our departed sister, and are reminded of Prov. 31:31, “Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates."
Funeral services were held Tuesday evening at the Eastern Mennonite Home with the brethren Marvin Anders and Wayne Kratz in charge. Further services were held the following day at the Plain [sic Plains] Mennonite church, Lansdale, with the brethren John Lapp, Wayne Kratz and Paul Clemens officiating.
