Allebach.— Death took away one of the most useful and prominent laymen of the Eastern District Conference, when Bro. Jacob K. Allebach passed away. For ten months he was failing and finally was removed to Jefferson Hospital, Philadelphia, but death claimed him on August 8. His remains were laid away on the 13th. Brief services were held at his late residence at Greenlane and further services in the Eden Mennonite church, Schwenksville. Burial was made on the Schwenksville cemetery. His age was 67 years, 9 months and 11 days. Bro. Allebach leaves a vacancy that can hardly be filled. He was much interested in mission work and especially in the Old Folks' Home at Frederick. He leaves a sorrowing wife and four children. The funeral text was II Tim. 4:6-7.
