Illinois Farmer Killed As Tractor Overturns

SERVICES FOR MARVIN ALBRECHT, 43, HELD AT WALDO CHURCH, FLANAGAN

Flanagan, Ill. — A harvesting tragedy at the Leonard Schrock farm south of Flanagan resulted in instant death for Marvin Albrecht, 43, prominent farmer of this community, on Thursday afternoon, July 24.

Funeral services were held Saturday, July 26, at the Waldo Mennonite church, with Rev. J. D. Hartzler and Rev. Marvin Zehr officiating.

Mr. Albrecht was assisting in combining at the Schrock farm when a tractor overturned, crushing him underneath.

A farmer here all of his life, he was an active member of the Waldo church where he served as a Sunday school teacher and trustee.

Survivor include his wife, the former Esther Ulrich, daughter of Rev. and Mrs. Emanuel Ulrich; two daughters and one son; and three brothers.
