Howard L. Albrecht, son of Levi 0. and Lydia (Roth) Albrecht, was born in Groveland Township, Ill., on Oct 6, 1914. He died as a result of a fall from a ladder at Tiskilwa, Ill. on Oct 29, 1977, aged 63. He was self-employed as a heavy earth moving contractor and farmer.
On May 25, 1940 he was married to Kathryn Lehman in Columbiana, Ohio. She survives along with two daughters, Alice (Mrs. John) Hill and Shirley (Mrs. David) Shank; two brothers, Marion and Milo, and two grandchildren.
He was a member of the First Mennonite Church of Morton, Ill., where he served as a board member. He was also active in relief sales and was a board member of the Peoria City Mission.
Funeral services were held on Nov. 1 at First Mennonite Church with James Detweiler in charge. Interment was in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Tremont, Ill.
