text of obituary:
Anna Graber Albrecht was born September 1, 1871, in South Russia. When a small child in 1874 she moved with her parents to America. At Marin, South Dakota, they made their home. Here she spent her childhood days and her youth.
July the 18th, 1886 she was baptized on her faith and became a member of the Mennonite church. She has always been a helping member of the church. Her faith was founded upon Christ Jesus her Saviour. She had the blessed assurance of being a child of God, and was a willing witness for Him.
She joined in marriage with Jacob Albrecht, May the 5th, 1887. 13 children were born to this union, 7 sons and 5 daughters. Of these 5 have died before her, 2 as infants, 1 as a girl of 12 years and 2 as mothers of families. Of the 8 remaining, 5 are gathered around her coffin; 3 cannot be present.
June 22 she had a stroke. Her right side was partly paralyzed. Doctors’ attention and hospital care could relieve but not bring help. On July 20 a second stroke attacked her. Dropsy had set in. She had to spend the rest of her days in a sitting position. She could be tenderly cared for in her own home. Her wish was to go home to the place prepared for her by Jesus her Lord. Often she said just a little while longer and then it will all be over.
Ten weeks she had suffered when her time came. On August 31 at 3 o’clock a.m. she peacefully passed away.
There are left to mourn her departure her husband and 8 children. Caroline, Mrs. Fred Grundman, Valley Center, Kans.; Ida, Mrs. Harry Albrecht, Intake, Mont.; Henry, Sun Prairie, Mont.; Edward, Fairview, Mont.; Jacob, Bloomfield, Mont.; Peter, Lake Lacleod, Idaho; Emil and Clarence, Richey, Mont. 39 grandchildren living and 6 that have preceded her in death, one brother, Jacob Graber, Freeman, South Dakota.
She reached the age of 67 years less one day. We cherish the hope of knowing that she is united with her Saviour.
The funeral was held Sunday, Aug. 4 at the Bethlehem Mennonite church, Bloomfield, Mont. the church was filled to capacity. the Brethren Abe Unruh and Jacob F. Sawatzky spoke words of comfort. — Jacob Albrecht and Family.
