Isaac J. Adrian, son of John and Sara Adrian, was born June 8, 1893 on a farm north of Windom, Kan. and passed away suddenly in his sleep Oct. 5, 1959. He reached the age of 66 years, three months and 27 days.

In 1896 the family moved to a farm five miles southwest of Mt. Lake, Minn. where he lived 60 years. three of his school-age years the family lived in the village of Mt. Lake where he attended the German preparatory school. the rest of his school years he attended the rural school.

On May 24, 1915 he was baptized upon confession of faith in Jesus Christ by Elder Jacob Stoesz in the First Mennonite church of Mt. Lake where he was a faithful member all these years.

On June 12, 1919 he entered holy matrimony with Marie Goertzen and they made their home on the Adrian farm until two weeks and two days before his departure when they moved into their home in town.

Most of the years of his life Mr. Adrian didn’t enjoy good health, but he worked most of the time. During the last four years he also suffered from a heart ailment , which caused his sudden death. In spite of sickness and suffering he never complained, but patiently bore his burden. He often said it will be better again.

His father preceded him in death Sept 25, 1933 and his mother, Oct. 24, 1937.

He is survived by his faithful wife Marie; four children, son Abe, Martha (Mrs. H. H. Pankratz), Magdalin (Mrs. Otto Becker), and Joe; two sons-in-law and two daughters-in-law; and eight grandsons and two granddaughters. There is also one sister, Mrs. Jacob G. Rahn and two brothers, John J. of Butterfield and Peter of Allendale, Minn., and three sisters-in-law and two brothers-in-law.

Interment was made at the Mt. Lake cemetery. Rev. Willard Wiebe, pastor of the First Mennonite church, officiated at the services.
