Birth date: 1903 Aug 14
text of obituary:
Frank Adrian, 23 year old, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Adrian of Inman, Kans., died at 5:00 o'clock last Wednesday evening at Bethel hospital of hydrophobia, which developed from the bite of a skunk at his home about three weeks ago.
The young man showed signs of the development of the fatal malady several days ago, and he was rushed to the hospital, but the virus of the poison bite had already advanced too far, and medical science and attendance was of no avail, and the young man gradually succombed [sic] to the terrible ravages of the dreaded disease as above stated.
Frank was a student at Bethel College last year and had planned to enter the college again this year. He was a bright student and a popular young man.
It was stated that he was sleeping in the barn when the attack took place.
Funeral services were held at the Hoffnungsau church near Buhler last Saturday.

text of obituary:
Frank V. Adrian was born August 14, 1903, in Reno County, Kansas. From his very youth he was a wide awake boy and could look each day in the face with joy and do his work cheerfully. His elementary education he received in the Hill district school, where proficient teachers built a sound foundation for him. Later for two years he attended the Hoffnungsau Preparatory school and graduated under E. E. Flickner as instructor. Then he went to the Buhler High School for two years, to Tabor College of Hillsboro, Kansas, for one year and to Bethel College for one year. He also entered Bethel College this year but only for a short time until the Heavenly Father called him home into the great beyond.
He was baptized upon the confession of his faith by Rev. J. E.Eepp of Hillsboro, Kansas, and accepted as a member of the Hillsboro Mennonite Church on April 16, 1922, and remained a faithful member of the same until his death.
Saturday morning, Sept. 11, he took sick and the doctor was called, but even with the best of medical aid his condition grew more critical. He was taken to the Bethel Hospital but also here under the best of care from the sisters and the est of medical aid his condition was growing more serious till on Wednesday, September 15, at 5:00 p.m. he passed into the great beyond, where we hope to find him when our pligrimag [sic] is done. upon his death-bed he clung to the grace of the Lord and to its promise He has given. "Though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be made white as snow." With this faith he slumbered into the great beyond where he will awaken in glory.
He reached the age of 23 years, one month and one day.
He leaves to mourn his early departure his parents, Jacob and Anna Adrian, four brothers, Jacob Dick of Liberal, Kansas. Henry, Bernhard, Walter and Peter Adrian and 1 sister, Anna Adrian and also his Grandfather, Jacob Vogt of Buhler, Kansas, and a large number of relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held at the Hoffnungsau Church last Saturday afternoon. Rev. A. J. Dyck officiated, assisted by Rev. J. H. Epp of Hillsboro. Several songs were rendered by the Hoffnungsau choir, by the Bethel College quartette and Buhler High School quartette. — Buhler Review.
