• Helena (Mrs. George) Abrahams, 85, of Goessel died Dec. 17 at Bethesda Hospital. Services were held Monday at the Goessel Mennonite Church with Henry Goossen officiating. She married George Abrahams in 1921 and they lived on a farm near Goessel most of their years together. He died in 1967 and she moved to the Bethesda home two years later. Survivors include a son, Willis of rural Newton; two daughters, Grace (Mrs. John) Schroeder of North Newton and ElVera (Mrs. Clyde) Prouty of rural Newton; 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
