LYDIA HEINRICHS

Lydia Heinrichs died Mar. 17. She was born Oct. 13,1929 in Foxwarren, Man. to David and Anna Loewen. Lydia accepted Christ as a child and was baptized in Justice (Man.) MB Church as a teen. She attended Winkler Bible School, then trained as a seamstress. On June 17, 1951 Lydia married Jake Heinrichs. They farmed in Port Rowan, Ont. Lydia had a passion for quilting and organized many quilting bees. She also served on the church catering committee. A stroke in 1994 left her with many challenges but her strong faith never wavered and she continued praying for each family member by name. Predeceased by daughter Marilyn, she is mourned by Jake; children Rita (Gord) Reimer, Don (Helen), Karen (Larry) Wiebe, Larry (Charlotte), Janet (Norm) Martens, Kelly (Debbie); 26 grandchildren ; 4 great-grandchildren; 6 siblings. The funeral was Mar. 21 at Port Rowan MB Church.
