ANNA WIEBE

(Mrs.) Anna Wiebe was born on October 22, 1899, in Adelsheim, Russia. Her parents were Jacob and Anna Janzen. She accepted Christ as her personal saviour at the age of 14 and was baptized and received into the fellowship of the Mennonite Brethren Church in Adelsheim in 1918. In 1924 she was married to Peter Wiebe. They shared 13 years of married life together before her husband was exiled to Siberia where he predeceased her in 1943.

In 1948 she came to Canada with six of her children and settled in the Kelowna area.

She passed away after a lingering illness on September 19, 1969 having reached the age of 69 years.

She leaves to mourn her passing four daughters, Anna, Tina (Mrs. Albert Redlich), Mary (Mrs. Ernie Siemens), Agnes (Mrs. Arnold Enns), all of Kelowna, and three sons, Peter in the U.S.S.R., Jacob in Kelowna, and Henry in Fort Nelson, B.C., 14 grandchildren, three sisters and two brother
