— John H. Thimm, 84, died early Tuesday morning at the Bethel Deaconess hospital. He had lived in Newton for the past four years, and had been making his home with a daughter, Mrs. Linda Ewert. Also surviving are two brothers, Martin Thimm of Newton and Jacob of San Diego, Calif.; a son Ernest of Newton; three other daughters, Mrs. P. H. Reimer of Medford, Okla., Mrs. E. L. Cooper of Newton, and Mrs. Geo. Bergen of Valley Center; and a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was a member of the M. B. church at Hillsboro.
