Burns Prove Fatal To Aged Widow

Goshen, Ind. — Burns suffered in an accident at her home east of here on Nov. 17 proved fatal to Mrs. Naomi Swartzentruber, 78.

It is believed her apron caught fire from an electric range as she was heating water for a pot of tea shortly before 12 noon. Fred Bontrager, a brother-in-law, found her a short time later and extinguished the flames. She was rushed to the Goshen hospital where she died about 12 hours later.

Survivors include a daughter, Mary Beachy, with whom she resided; a son, Simon Swartzentruber of St. Louis, Mo.; five stepchildren, two brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services were held Nov. 20 at the Griner Conservative Mennonite Church.
