MRS. FLORENCE SUTTLES

(Mrs.) Florence Suttles of the 108 Mile Ranch, Cariboo, B.C. went to be with the Lord on December 27. She was born on February 15, 1926 in Danville, Illinois. At the age of 13 she married Jack Suttles and the couple raised four children, Berdenia, Juanita, Jack and John. The couple and their talented children were involved in performing gospel music. They lived in California until moving to the Cariboo in 1974. Three months after arriving, both Flo and Jack received Christ into their hearts, were baptized, and became involved in the 108 Chapel. Flo served as deaconess, church treasurer and on many committees. Prior to her illness she worked in "The Garden". But her most valuable work was done in her home. Her home was the scene of constant fellowship, and many people found Christ there. The Suttles would invite people visiting the area to their home for coffee and gospel music. Her family, as well as the many friend she helped, called her "mama". Eleven months before her death she was told she had cancer. During her last days she showed a great love of God and of her visitors. A memorial service was held on December 30 in the 108 Chapel.
