SALLY PLENERT

Sally Plenert, 94, of Hillsboro, Kan., died Sept. 30, 2007, at Parkside Homes. She was born Oct. 17, 1912, to John H. and Maria Janz Bartel in rural Hillsboro.

She married Arlo Plenert on Oct. 17, 1941, in Hillsboro. She worked in a hospital dietary department. She was a member of Trinity Mennonite Church of Hillsboro.

Survivors include a son, Dennis Plenert and his wife, Paula, of rural Moundridge; a daughter, Sharolyn Funk and her husband, Marlin, of rural Lehigh; a sister, Marie Guhr of Newton; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arlo, in 1961.

Services were held at Trinity Mennonite Church. Burial was in Johannestal Cemetery of rural Hillsboro.
