SELLERSVILLE, PA.

December 1, 1971

. . .

On Saturday, Nov. 27, William Lee Nice, 29, of Harleysville was accidentally shot and killed by his brother-in-law as the two attempted to slaughter a steer on the latter's farm in Upper Bucks County. The Wednesday, Dec. 1 funeral at Souderton Mennonite Church was attended by many, who were impressed anew that God makes no mistakes. Mrs. Nice, Bill's father, Peter Dyck and Richard Detweiler, minister in charge, shared enlightening and encouraging words including praise to god that through our loss a soul was gained for God. Marie's mother, Mrs. Oprell of Holland, arrived to share in this unexpected event. Mr. Nice, father of two young daughters, had done PAX service in Greece and Crete. A Sunday school pupil said that he looked forward each Sunday to hear how the Holy Spirit led his teacher through the prior week. . . . — E. G. Detweiler.
