Mrs. Bertha Hodel

Reedley, California, Nov. 2. — Mrs. Bertha Hodel, a former resident of Reedley, passed away Monday at 4 o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Martha Wiebe at Lodi. She was aged 81 years and three weeks.

Mrs. Hodel came to Reedley in 1908 from Kansas with her husband, who died in this city in 1915. She had resided here fifteen years, two years in Los Angelis, and the past three years in Lodi, with her daughter.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at the Mennonite Brethren Church at 1 o'clock. Interment will be made in the Reedley cemetery. Rev. D. C. Eitzen will preach the funeral sermon.

Mrs. Hodel is survived by the following children: John L. of Wasco, Henry L. of Pasadena, Samuel L. of Flowing Wells, Saskatchewan, C. L. of Reedley, Mrs. Lydia Seible of Hillsboro, Kansas, Mrs. Mary Ratzlaff of Pasadena, Mrs. Anna Semrau of Chico, Mrs. Bertha Hier, Lodi, and Mrs. Martha Wiebe of Lodi. — Reedley Exponent.
