PIONEER RESIDENT OF MOUNTAIN LAKE, MINNESOTA, CALLED AWAY IN DEATH

Tuesday, July 11, occurred the death of Mrs. John C. Hiebert, pioneer resident of Mountain Lake, Minn., after injuries she had suffered from a bad fall on the previous day. A hemorrhage and stroke of paralysis left her speechless and she passed away soon afterward.

Funeral services were held on Friday, July 14, conducted by Rev. John Bartel and Rev. Corn Wall.

Mrs. Hiebert was born August 17, 1868, in Gordeman, South Russia, where she spent her youth until 1875 when she came with her parents to America and settled in Mountain Lake.

On December 3, 1889, she gave her hand in marriage to John C. Hiebert. This union lasted 43 years. Her husband as well as two sons, Frank and John, preceded her in death.

Surviving her re two daughters, Helen at home and Elizabeth (Mrs. Geo. P. Neufeld; one son Nickoli; three daughters-in-law, nine grandchildren, and two brothers, George F. Toews of Dallas, Oregon, and P. N. Toews of Grand Forks, N. D., as well as many friends and relatives.
