Until his illness, Pre. Troyer was director of the 1-W service of Amish youths in the state of Ohio. As the representative of Ohio Amish, he took part in many conferences relating to the alternative service program. Succeeding him about a month ago as 1-W director was Atlee E. Miller of the Trail community.

The funeral of Pre. Troyer, held Jan. 1 at the home, was largely attended. Survivors include his widow, three sons, five daughters, and 56 grandchildren.
