Co-Founder of Livestock Firm Dies at Archbold

Archbold, Ohio. — Funeral services were held at the Evangelical Mennonite Church here Sunday afternoon, Dec. 9, for Peter Lugbill, 79, eldest of three brothers who founded Lugbill Bros., Inc., well-known livestock auction here.

Mr. Lugbill died Dec. 6 at his home. Although in failing health for several years, he was up and about and continued to spend some time in his office.

The Lugbill firm, founded more than 30 years ago, has grown to one of the largest livestock auctions in the Midwest. Eli Lugbill died two years ago, while Sylvanus H. Lugbill is still active in the business.

Surviving in addition to the brother are two daughters, two sisters, and two grandchildren.
