Believe Flying Missionary Lost in Alaskan Blizzard

Lancaster, Pa. — Air and sea searchers have so far found no trace of Rev. Carl S. Glick, 49, flying missionary and bush pilot in Alaska who has been missing since the night of Oct. 18.

Rev. Glick was on a 76-mile flight from Anchorage to his home at Kenai when he radioed that he was lost in a blizzard. Later he reported that he was on course, but no further word was received. It is believed he crashed into the lake on Cook Inlet.

A native of North Dakota and former resident of Lancaster, Rev. Glick was a minister of the Assemblies of God Church. He and his wife, the former Betty Enck [Bailey?] of Kissel Hill, Pa., went to Alaska five years ago. A son, Carl, Jr. was visiting them in Alaska.

Rev. Glick's parents are Mr. and Mrs. H. J. Glick of Willow Street. Two brothers and a sister live in Lancaster County. They are Harold of Lampeter, Mrs. Amos S. (Naomi) Harnish of Willow Street, and Paul J. of Lancaster. Another sister, Mrs. Geo. (Elva) Cramer, lives at Providence, R. I.
