HENRY D. WIENS

Henry D. Wiens, son of Jacob H. and Katherine Doerksen Wiens, was born Jan.11, 1894, at Inman, Kansas. He received his public school training in the Wolf Creek and West Eagle schools.

On June 21, 1914 he was baptized upon confession of faith in his Redeemer by Rev. Klaas Kroeker and became a member of the Bethel Mennonite Church.

On Dec. 7, 1919 he was united in marriage to Katy Regehr with whom he s hared life's joys and sorrows over 42 years.

His life was mingled with joys and sorrows, as well as losses and gains. Tornadoes and floods brought about many unpleasant experiences. He was a farmer and mechanic by profession. We believe that the heavenly Father has taken him to Himself where there is no more suffering and pain.

Mr. Wiens passed away at the Grace Hospital at Hutchinson on May 31, 1962, reaching the age of 68 years, four months and 29 days.

Those who mourn his sudden departure are his wife Katy of the home at Inman, six daughters, Ella, Mrs. Bernard W. Hamel and family of Osborne, Kan., Kathryn, Mrs. Delbert Mitchell and family of Hutchinson, Kan., Helena, Mrs. Arnold Willems and family, Mary Ann, Mrs. Earl Froese and family, Susan, Mrs. Kenneth Mitchell and family, and Betty, Mrs. Darwin Warkentin and family, all of Inman, Kan.; four sons, Ernie of the home, Inman, Alvin J. and Twila and family, Edwin H. and Wanda and family, Wilbur L. and Martha and family, all of Hutchinson; 20 grandchildren, two brothers, Martin and Jake and their families of Inman; six sisters, Mary, Mrs. Deitrich Friesen and family, Lena, Mrs. P. T. Neufeld and family; Anna, Elizaeth, and Justina, Mrs. Jake Pauls and family, all of Inman, Margaret, Mrs. A. H. Ratzlaff and family of Buhler, Kan., and Susan, Mrs. J. P.
