HENRY D. WALL
Henry D. Wall, son of Jacob H. and Agatha (Buhler) Wall, was born April 17, 1894, on a farm in Mountain Lake Township, Minn.
He received his early schooling in a rural school in Mountain Lake Township and later attended the Mountain Lake Bible School.
He was baptized on his confession of faith by Rev. D. P. Eitzen and was received as a member of the Gospel Mennonite Church. After his marriage his membership was transferred to the First Mennonite Church where he remained a faithful member serving in various capacities as deacon, mission treasurer, and Sunday school teacher.
He served as clerk of Mountain Lake Township for about 30 years and as district secretary of the Mennonite Aid Plan for a number of years. He was a veteran of World War I.
On April 2, 1919 he was united in marriage to Anna Voshage, with whom he shared life's joys and sorrows for 43 years. He was always a conscientious and loving husband and father and had a great spiritual concern for his family and church.
He entered into eternal rest on June 16, 1962, after suffering from a serious heart condition for about eight months. He reached the age of 68 years, one month, and 30 days.
He bore his illness with patience and fortitude. He will be greatly missed, but we have the wonderful assurance that he is with the Lord.
He is survived by his wife, Anna; three daughters, Eleanor, Mrs. C. G. Hiebner, Mt. Lake; Laura, Mrs. Kenneth Ross, Shafter, Calif.; Lillian, Mrs. Arthur Neufeld, Mound, Minn.; one son, Harry of Minneapolis; three sons-in-law, one daughter-in-law, 15 grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. G. T. Nickel, Mrs. John L. Derksen, and Mrs. Peter Stoesz, Jr.; on brother, Abraham D., and many relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son and daughter in infancy, and a daughter, Esther, who passed away six years ago. — The Family.
