Dies Unexpectedly While Working in Store

Freeman, S. D. — A heart attack suffered while working in her husband's seed store here on June 3 claimed the life of Mrs. Charles Preheim, 60, well-known resident of this community.

Funeral services were held June 5 at the Salem Mennonite Church near Freeman, of which she was an active member, and were largely attended.

A native of the Menno, S. D. community, Mrs. Preheim was the former Hilda Goehring. She was married to Mr. Preheim in 1923 and they have operated a seed business here for a number of years. She was active in the Freeman College Junior Auxiliary, the Freeman Community Hospital Auxiliary, and the Dorcas Society.

Surviving in addition to her husband are two daughters, nine grandchildren, and four sisters. A son, Charles, preceded her in death in 1959.
