RETIRED BISHOP DIES IN OREGON

Sheridan, Ore. — Gabriel D. Shenk, retired bishop of the Sheridan Mennonite Church, died March 21 at the home at the age of 83.

Bishop Shenk had been active until a short time before his death, and was doing some remodeling work at his home when stricken with a fatal heart attack.

Over 400 persons attended the funeral services, held at the Sheridan church on March 25.
