PETER H. PENZ

Peter H. Penz was born on October 3, 1906 to Heinrich and Christine (nee Kruger) Penz in Russia. The family later moved to Germany, and then to Canada in 1923. In June, 1925 he was baptized on the confession of his faith and joined the Aberdeen, (Sask.) Mennonite Brethren Church. He later joined the nearby Hepburn MB Church , where he remained a member until his passing on December 28, 1975.

After several years as a farm labourer, Mr. Penz bought a farm in the Brotherfield, Sask. area in 1930. He married Marie Isaak in May, 1931. The couple was blessed with three daughters . A heart attack in 1965 forced him to retire from farming, and his health deteriorated from that point. On December 17 he entered the Rosthern Hospital for the last time and went home to his Lord peacefully 11 days later.

He leaves to mourn his wife, Marie; three daughters and their families , Rosella (Mrs. Wilmer) Willems, Delores (Mrs. Alvin) Friesen, and Gladys (Mrs. David) Klein, all of Saskatchewan; eight grandchildren; one brother; three sisters; and many relatives and friends.
