TENA JEAN DEWITT

Tena Jean Dewitt of Riske Creek, B.C. was born in 1958 in Vancouver, the daughter of the William Dewitts. While on her way to school in Williams Lake an automobile accident claimed her life unexpectedly on November 14. Tena was a good student at Williams Lake Colurnneetza Secondary School, and an active participant in young people's activities in the Cariboo Bethel Mennonite Brethren Church. Her favorite Bible passage was Psalm 23, and she shared the love of God through her radiant smile. Donations in Tena's memory will be used to furnish the new youth room' at the Cariboo Bethel church, which will be a reminder and challenge to the young people of the church to live for the Lord and to always be ready to meet him. Rev. John Balzer officiated at a funeral service held in the church on November 19. Tena leaves to mourn her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Dewitt, her brothers John and William, her sisters Patricia, Joyce and Maryanne (Mrs. Harold) Bartel, grandparents in Victoria and a grandmother in Holland.
