EDWARD UNGER
Edward Unger of Surrey, B.C. passed away to be with the Lord on September 17, at the age of 44 years, after several months of illness . Edward was born on September 25, 1930 to John and Margaret Loewen Unger of Ernfold, Sask. He spent his early years there, attended elementary school and helped on the parental farm. He attended Herbert Bible School for several years and then moved to Arnold, B.C. On September 30, 1955 he was married to Laura Suderman of Surrey, a union blessed with two daughters , They made their home in Surrey. An electri· cian by trade, he worked for Elgar Electric for 19 years until his death. He was also active in Christian witness, first in the Kennedy Heights Church and then in the Green Timbers Fellowship, of which he was a charter member. He served as chairman of the Board of Trustees there until illness forced him to step back. In his last lesson to a boys and girls group, he used a light bulb and electric power to demonstrate the importance of being "plugged in" to Jesus, the Christian's source of power. He was discovered to be seriously ill in May and on September 17 he went to be with the Lord. A very meaningful experience for his entire family was an Unger reunion in Saskatchewan in June of this year. The funeral service was held at the Surrey Alliance Church on September 19 with Pastor A. R. Josephson officiating. Edward was preceded in death by his father in 1964. He leaves to mourn, his wife, Laura; two daughters, Sharon and Norma, at home; his mother, (Mrs .)
