Palmer Base, 88, died December 10, 2016 at Salina Regional Health Center. He was born January 14, 1928 to John and Susanna (Bohse) Base of Tampa. He married Lucille Thiesen March 25, 1956 rural Goessel. He was a farmer and dairyman. Survivors include: son in law, Merle Hartman of Andover. Predeceased by his wife: Lucille Base in 2015; son, Merrill Base in 1994; daughter, Pamela Hartman in 2016; brothers, Delbert, Tolbert, and Paul; sisters, Roseina and Hattie. Celebration of Life Service 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 15, 2016 at Temple Church Rural Gypsum Officiated by Pastor Bill Rudd and Pastor Dennis Mullins. Family receive guests from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at the Church before the service on Thursday. Also have visitation from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Wednesday at Jost Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Interment 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Peace Valley Cemetery rural Roxbury.
