— Funeral services were conducted in the Bethel College Chapel on Tuesday afternoon for Dr. J. H. Doell, 76, professor emeritus of biology at the college, who died Saturday morning at Bethel Deaconess Hospital. Rev. Harold Buller, pastor of the Bethel College Church officiated and was assisted by Dr. J. H. Langenwalter. Dr. Doell had been in ill health for some time and had been a patient at the hospital since March 7. A native of Henderson, Neb., he had taught biology at Bethel College from 1911 until 1950, except for several years of high school teaching in Honolulu, Hawaii. He is survived by his wife, of the home in North Newton; a daughter, Mrs. Thomas Walker of Newton; a son, Homer Doell of Norfolk, Va.; and one grandson.
