Birth date: 1874

text of obituary:

NOTED INDUSTRIALIST CALLED AWAY IN DEATH

John D. Rockefeller Jr., one of the world's richest men, died on May 11 at Tucson, Ariz. He reached the age of 86.

His father, John D. Rockefeller Sr., was founder of the Standard Oil Company, which is today perhaps the largest industry of its kind in the world. John D. Jr. gave away over a half billion dollars for public purposes and donated the ground on which the United Nations headquarters is built.
