Widow of Bishop Dies at Elkhart

Goshen, Ind. — Mrs. Ida M. Lapp, 90, widow of Bishop Daniel G. Lapp, died Sept. 14 at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Hostetler in Elkhart.

Funeral services were conducted at a Goshen funeral home the evening of Sept. 15 by Rev. John Mosemann, pastor of the College Mennonite church, after which the body was sent to Sterling, Ill., where final services and burial were to take place at the Science Ridge Mennonite church.

Ida M. Good and D. G. Lapp were married at Harper, Kan. on Feb. 22, 1898. Bishop Lapp served as pastor of the Roseland, Neb. congregation for 48 years and later served a mission church at Sterling, Ill. He was active in mission and educational efforts of the Mennonite (Old) church.

Surviving in addition to Mrs. Hostetler, who is a former missionary to India, are five sons, 16 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and a foster brother, Noah L. Good of Richmond, Calif.
