HELEN BERG

(Mrs) Helen Berg was the daughter of George and Helena Sukkau, born on April 25, 1897 in Kleefeld, Russia. She lost her mother at the age of two years. In her early youth she accepted Christ; she was baptized and joined the Mennonite Brethren Church before marriage.

She married Julius Berg on February 17, 1922. They came to Canada, moving to Arnaud, B.C. in 1925, to Pitt Meadows, B.C. in 1931, and to Yarrow, B.C. in 1937. She was a faithful church member and prayer warrior.

She went to be with her Lord on October 25, predeceased by an infant son and her son John, just a few weeks earlier, on October 2. She leaves to mourn her husband, Julius three sons: George of Port Moody, B.C Harry of Vancouver and Tony at home; four daughters: Louise Berg, Mrs. J. (Ann Kirkaldy of Ancaster, Ont., Mrs. P. (Hilda Worabets of Kitimat, B.C. and Heidi Berg at home; eight grandchildren; one brother in Alberta; one brother in Russia; one sister in Yarrow, Mrs. Liese Loewen; and two sisters in Russia.

The funeral was held October 29 in the Yarrow Mennonite Brethren Church with Rev. A. L. Klassen and Rev. P. D. Loewen ministering.
