HERTHA FALK

Miss Hertha Mary Falk was born March 2, 1920 to William and Mary (Peters) Falk in Kroensweide, Russia. When she was five her parents migrated to Canada and settled in the Herbert, Sask. area. In September, 1936, upon the confession of her faith, she was baptized and received into the Herbert Mennonite Brethren Church.

She taught for several years in the surrounding districts; later she became a teacher-librarian for the Herbert School Unit. This was interrupted when she offered to take care of her bed-ridden mother. For many years she devoted her total strength and love to this care. In 1965, after her mother's death, she returned to teaching.

She passed away August 30, and leaves to mourn: her father; her four brothers and their wives: Albert and Nettie, Bernhard and Rose, Arthur and Joyce, Rudy and Judy; her two sisters and their husbands: Edith and Clare Parker, Linda and Robert Suter; 14 nieces and nephews, and many other relatives and friends. Her mother and an infant sister predeceased her.
