text of obituary:

MRS. KATHERINE FRIESEN

Mrs. Katherine Friesen, nee Epp, was born July 5, 1885 in York county, Neb. and died Dec. 18, 1958, in the Ogallala, Neb. Rest Home. She attained the age of 73 years, five months and 13 days.

In April, 1905 she was baptized upon her confession of faith in Christ Jesus as her personal Saviour by Rev. J. F. Epp and united with the Bethesda Mennonite Church of Henderson, Nebr.

On Dec. 13, 1906, she united in holy wedlock with Gerhard D. Friesen. Father preceded her in death Aug. 11, 1956, after a union of almost 50 years.

When our parents moved to Perkins County, Neb. they joined the First Mennonite church of Madrid, where mother was a faithful attender to her death.

God blessed our family with nine children, of whom three sons, Elmer, Clarence and Forest, preceded her in death. Left to mourn her passing are three sons, Gus of Madrid, Ben of Salem, Ore. and Howard of Dallas, Ore.; three daughters, Margaret, Mrs. Alvin Wiebe, Dalhart, Tex., Alma, Mrs. Darryl Hoffman, Nelson, Neb., and Lavina, Mrs. Donald Brixius, Ordway, Colo.; one sister, Mrs. Ben Friesen of Henderson, 17 grandchildren and one great-grandson and a host of relatives and friends.

We rejoice in the fact that mother had the assurance she was ready to go and be with her Lord. Often she would sigh,"How long, how long!" Now her wish has been fulfilled. — The Family.
