— Henry Wall, Review correspondent at Hillsboro, was in Newton on business Monday and reported that Jacob E. Schmidt, about 73, a member of the Tabor College staff, died suddenly at 7:00 o’clock Sunday morning. He had not been ill, and had been scheduled to speak at the Tabor Day service that morning at the Mennonite Brethren church. Funeral services were to be held at the M.B. church Wednesday afternoon.
